We guide our guests through Shiga Kogen in the green season which is from June, when the snow melts and makes it easier to walk, to October, when the forests are at their most vibrant with autumn colours.
Shiga Kogen is a hiker’s paradise with more than 20 trails ranging from the mountainous regions at an elevation of 830m to the sub-alpine zones over 2300m
The trails are categorised into three different types: promenade trails, exploration trails, and mountain trails, and with sufficient preparation, no special skills are required for any of these trails (for more information, click here)
Exploring by yourself is undoubtedly a wonderful experience, but walking with a local guide who knows a lot about the area will make your time even more enjoyable.
Please note that only a limited number of English-speaking are available, so tours are by reservation only.

*Want to spend special moments only with people you like.
*Prefer to go to desired locations at your chosen time (only for those who can come by car)*
Wish to walk at your own pace and/or want to take plenty of photos.Depending on when the snow starts to melt and the autumn leaves finish, the tour may be available outside of the available periods, so please contact us if you are interested.

*Can make it to the meeting time on time.
