志賀高原の厳しい冬を超え、たくましく生きのびたカモシカの姿をとらえました。
今年は全国的に小雪となりましたが、-10℃以下になる日も多く、野生動物にとっては毎年命がけの越冬となります。
その姿は神々しささえおぼえてしまいます。

ニホンカモシカは好奇心が強く、登山道や道路であってもあまりすぐに逃げずにずっとこちらを観察しているときがあります。
もしカモシカを見かけてもむやみに近づいたりせず、遠くからそっと見守ってあげてください。

I captured the image of a tough surviving Japanese serow on the harsh winter of Shiga Highlands. Although there was relatively little snowfall nationwide this year, there were still many days where the temperature dropped below -10℃, making it a life-threatening winter for wild animals every year. Their appearance is almost divine.

Japanese serows are curious and sometimes they observe humans on hiking trails or roads without running away immediately. If you happen to see a serow, please do not approach it recklessly, but watch it quietly from a distance.
