峠の三十三観音コースでカタクリが見ごろとなっていました。
このコースは、善光寺と群馬県の草津とを繋ぐ峠道として古くから使われていました。
志賀高原で最も標高が低いため雪解けも早く植物達の開花が早く進みます。

The katakuri flowers were in full bloom on the Toge no Sanjuusan Kannon Course. This course has long been used as a mountain pass that connects Zenkoji Temple with Kusatsu in Gunma Prefecture. Due to its relatively low elevation in the Shiga Highlands, the snow melts early, allowing the plants to bloom earlier in the season.
