田ノ原湿原のワタスゲの状況を確認しています。
ワタスゲは先日と変わらず木道付近のみで確認できました。
今年は雪が少なかったので、日当たりが良い田ノ原湿原全体で水分が少ないように感じます。
この水分量が影響し花の開花に少なからず影響を及ぼしていると思われます。
レンゲツツジはつぼみ、ヒメしゃくなげは咲きはじめとなります。
一方、蓮池や一沼のレンゲツツジは見ごろを迎えています。
これからの時期どこかしらで高山植物を楽しめるのは志賀高原ならではですね。

We are checking the condition of cotton grass (Eriophorum) at the Tanohara Wetlands. Just like the other day, we were able to confirm the presence of cotton grass only near the wooden pathway. This year, due to the lack of snow, it feels like there is a low moisture level throughout the entire Tanohara Wetlands, which is well-exposed to sunlight. It is believed that this moisture level has some influence on the blooming of flowers. The Japanese azalea(Rhododendron molle) are in bud, and the Bog-rosemary (Andromeda polifolia L.) has started to bloom. On the other hand, the Japanese azalea in the lotus pond and Ichinuma are at their best viewing time. As we enter this season, being able to enjoy alpine plants somewhere is unique to the Shiga Kogen Highlands.
