Job as a Guide (Trail Maintenance)
Implemented on July 7th
The Shiga Kogen Guide Association is conducting inspections of mountain hiking trails to ensure everyone can safely enjoy their trek. Additionally, we are carrying out repairs on the trails to the extent possible. Recently, with the assistance of ParksProject, a partner company of the Ministry of the Environment, we successfully completed repairs on a section of the bridge (between Hyotan Pond and Kido Pond) using timber transported by them.
Ensuring the safety of hikers is our primary concern, but managing the trails also contributes to the protection of rare alpine plants that bloom outside the designated pathways. When using the mountain hiking trails, we kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation in refraining from walking outside the designated paths for the preservation of the natural environment.
(Note: The translation assumes the names “Hyotan Pond” and “Kido Pond” are accurate translations. If they are specific names or terms, it may be better to keep them in their original form with a brief explanation.)
