志賀高原長池「信州大学自然教育園」にあるまが玉の丘コースの下見を行いました。
この辺りは、上信越高原国立公園の特別保護地区と第2種特別地域の境目のエリアとなり、貴重な自然環境とその営みを垣間見ることができます。
志賀高原のこういった自然エリアは道路から近いところからアクセスすることができ、本物の原生林に気軽に出会えるところは世界的に見ても非常に珍しいエリアとなります。

On July 14th,

I conducted a site visit to the Magatama no oka course located in Nagaike, Shiga Kogen, at the Shinshu University Nature Education Park.
This area serves as the boundary between the special protected area and the second-class special area within the Joshinetsu Kogen National Park, allowing us to catch a glimpse of its valuable natural environment and its workings.

These natural areas in the Shiga Kogen region can be easily accessed from nearby roads, making it exceptionally rare on a global scale to encounter authentic primeval forests in such proximity.
