朝から幸運なことに、通勤途中にカモシカに出会うことができました。
実はカモシカは、志賀高原の野生動物の中でも比較的遭遇率は高めです。（と言っても春から秋にかけて数回程度）
道路脇で新芽を食べていたり、山すそを移動していたり、体も大きく天敵がいないため動きはゆっくりです。
皆さんもカモシカに会ったときは、静かに見守ってあげてくださいね。

This morning, I was lucky enough to encounter a Japanese serow on my way to work.
In fact, among the wildlife of Shiga Kogen, serow sightings are relatively common—though still only a few times a year, typically from spring through autumn.

You might spot one grazing on fresh shoots by the roadside or slowly making its way along the lower slopes.
With their large size and lack of natural predators, they tend to move at a calm, unhurried pace.

If you ever come across a serow, please take a quiet moment to simply watch and appreciate this gentle creature.
